During the session 2005-06, the pupils of Broomhouse Primary School, led by members of the School Council, achieved a Silver Eco Schools' Award. As part of this endeavour the pupils, staff and parents were encouraged to switch off lights when they left a room, not to leave taps running unnecessarily, to recycle waste paper, plastic bottles and bags and generally to think about ways of looking after our school and the wider environment.
