Welcome Hi. Welcome to the Whinpark page. Whinpark is a small support team based here in Broomhouse school. The team consists of one full time teacher and one full time Learning Assistant. At the moment, the teacher is me, Mr Adams and Ms McCafferty is our LA. Although we are based in Broomhouse, we also support Murrayburn and Carrick Knowe schools. |  |
Why Are We Here? Our aim is to support children who find coping with school life a little challenging at times. Our ultimate goal is to provide support to: children; school staff and parents and carers in order to help life run a little bit smoother. We support children who are experiencing social, emotional and/or behavioural challenges in their daily lives |

| Have you heard of the term 'Emotional Literacy?' (EL) Some people describe it as,
............"understanding my feelings, understanding others' feelings and acting sensitively upon them...."
